A Golden Age Christmas

 

"Sky's the Limit"

I forgot last year to 'plug' this interesting golden age product.  This collector's Christmas ornament series by Hallmark (part of their Keepsake Ornament collection) features important aircraft in the history of flight.  The ornaments are designed and crafted by Lynn Norton and feature accurate scale features (including rigging).  From what I have seen, they appear to be all modeled on the same scale.

I've included the Hallmark catalog number to help anyone who wishes to purchase these fine miniatures.  Be aware that when the ornaments are first released they cost about $15.00 (US), but after the current year they must be purchased from collector dealers and the cost increases to $25+

I also just discovered that Hallmark also offers a hangar in which the miniatures can be placed.

I have chosen to remove the ring for hanging the airplanes on a Christmas tree, and have instead placed the models in a glass case which hangs in my den.
